Fenerbahce Positive on Signing Mesut Ozil


Mesut Ozil is closing down as a free agent on a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce, with Arsenal expected to terminate his deal.

Fenerbahce remains hopeful that in the coming days Mesut Ozil will become its player, but no contract has been reached so far.

SSN has discovered that some key factors important for the advancement of the negotiation, including specifics of the agreement between Ozil and Arsenal, have yet to be obtained in Istanbul.

However, Fener remains adamant that the 32-year-old German international will join his boyhood club in the next few days on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

None of those interested in the contract expect Ozil’s pay to be a challenge after months of lengthy talks.

Since 2014, Fenerbahce, currently second in the Turkish Super Lig and level on points with Besiktas, has not won their domestic league.

They are, however, under – pressure to comply with laws on financial fair play and have made it known in the negotiating process that they will not be able to afford Arsenal any substantial transfer fee.

The Istanbul-based Exxen Media Company, which will hold some of Ozil’s picture rights in exchange, will raise part of Ozil’s total sales deal.

Sporting director and former midfielder of Newcastle United Emre claims that Ozil will play a vital role as a coach for the younger players of Fener as they aim to replicate the strategy of Borussia Dortmund to purchase top young talent from across Europe before selling for considerable benefit.
