After Kenedy and Roberto Soldado had scored for Granada, late goals from Griezmann and Alba forced extra time.
Visitors reported 36 attempts at the objective of Granada, 20 of which were on goal.
In the semi-finals, Ronald Koeman’s side will join Seville and Levante, with Real Betis playing Athletic Bilbao in Thursday’s final last-eight game.
